About the role
Tearfund Uganda is recruiting a Country Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for our Uganda programme. Tearfund is a Christian relief and development organisation working in partnership with local churches to tackle poverty and injustice.
The Country Director will lead a team of 40+ staff, oversee a portfolio of £3M+ annual programmes, and represent Tearfund to government, donors, and the church in Uganda. This is a senior leadership role for an experienced development professional with strong Christian faith and a commitment to church-based development.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Development Studies, International Relations or related field
- Minimum 10 years' experience in international development, with 5 years in senior management
- Proven track record of organisational leadership and donor management
- Experience managing DFID/FCDO or EU-funded programmes
- Strong Christian faith and commitment to Tearfund's ethos
