The Uganda AIDS Commission (UAC) has partnered with Pentecostal churches in the Acholi and Lango sub regions to help combat the rising number of new HIV infections.
Working through the National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches in Uganda, the partnership aims to address misconceptions about HIV treatment, particularly claims by some pastors that people living with HIV should abandon antiretroviral (ARV) medication in favor of prayer as a cure.
