The Watoto Children's Choir returned to Kampala on 5 February 2026 to a hero's welcome after completing a four-month international tour spanning 14 countries across Europe and North America, ministering to an estimated 120,000 people and raising over USD 2 million for Watoto's child sponsorship programmes in Uganda.

The 2025-26 tour — the choir's 28th international tour since its founding — took 30 children aged 8 to 13 to the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Canada, and the United States, where they performed in churches, cathedrals, and concert halls. The choir's signature blend of African worship music and personal testimony drew standing ovations at venues including Westminster Chapel in London and Moody Church in Chicago.

Tour leader Esther Kyomugisha said the children were transformed by the experience. "When we left in September, some of these children had never been on an aeroplane. When they came back, they were more confident in who they are in Christ, and more passionate about Uganda. They came home ready to make a difference in their own communities."

The funds raised will support Watoto's Baby Watoto programme, which provides medical care, nutrition, and family-based care to Uganda's most vulnerable infants. The choir's next international tour is planned for September 2026.
